happy scrappy thurs chickies! whoa..it's gettin warm outside today! i decided to stay inside and stay near the airconditioner. gotta keep cool ~ i had a lil too much sun yesterday. so, i've had lots of fun getting scrappy happy today and trying out a few blog challenges. the first one is for ~ tuesday taggers ~. they have an awesome tim holtz tutorial to follow for the background technique. also, ~ the craft barn ~ is the sponsor this week, so if ya play along, ya got a chance at winning some scrumptious goodies! can't beat that! the box and card set are for

~ project tuesday ~. i came across their blog the other day, while checking out all you chickies. whoa ~ they've got some fabulous lil projects too, that are quick and easy to do. the box and card are for this week's challenge and the lil bag is for last week's ~ ok, so it's late ~ but, i did it anyhoo! well, that's it for me gettin scrappy happy ~ for about a week or so. dh and i are heading out to do some camping again. whohoo! i'll have the laptop with me though ~ so, i'll be poppin over your blogs and checkin out your creations. in the meantime ~ hope you all have a wonderful week gettin scrappy happy!

~ CANADA DAY ~

heh chickies! hoping you all are havin a rawkin HAPPY CANADA DAY! it's been an absolutely gorgeous day here. dh and i spent the day up in parksville with the gks, dd and sil today. we spent most of the time at the beach ~ but, there were lots of events going on. they had bands playing, facepainting, booths all over the place, kiteflying competitions, skateboarding, rides, waterpark ~ oh the list is long. it was a fabulous day spent with family and a great celebration of CANADA'S 142 birthday! how kewl is that! hope you all had a fabulous day everyone ~ HAPPY CANADA DAY!

~ tues taggers (wk 6) ~

heh chickies! happy hump day! hope you're all havin a sunny scrappy happy day. it's raining buckets here..but, i still managed to get some scrappin in! WHOHOO! i missed last week's challenge over at ~ Tuesday Taggers ~ just cause my mojo decided to up and leave the building. i couldn't scrap for the life of me. anyhoo ~ my mojo got rawkin this morning and i got the challenge *stamp it* done. for this week's challenge it's to create a project using as many stamps as possible. i scrapped this lil handbag using 5 different stamps. the swirls are from layers of color ~ the flowers are from CTMH and the butterfly ~ well ~ i can't remember who makes it ~ but, it's my all time fave! dont'cha just love him! all stampin is handcut with some added stickles for the glittery shine. oh and that's a lo i did not long ago ~ it's of my dd ~ takin a big huge squeezy hug from *family* (on my oldest dd's side) ~ yep ~ gotta love those hugz! well, that's it for my scrappy goodies today. i've got company coming shortly ~ and whoa ~ i gotta do a quick tidy!

happy scrappy thurs chickies! hope you're all having a beautiful sunny scrappy happy day! it's absolutely gorgeous here again. well ~ i got do some blog hopping ~ and was over at katy's blog . love visiting her..she's just rawks those cards ~ and i noticed she's on the dt over at ~ Tuesday Taggers ~ so, i just had to check it out. yep i definitely had to give this week's challenge a go. it's to create a card with matching wrappin paper. there's an awesome tutorial there ~ so, if ya get a chance and wanna try a new challenge check it chickies..you'll love it! for my card and wrappin paper i spritzed olive vine and coffee shop glimmer mist on my background pp ~ blowed dryed it ~ crumbled the pp up ~ distressed it with green then stamped it with a letter stamp. the card was on on brown pp ~ then i switched to the matching green pp and did the same process for the wrapping paper. yep ~ it sure does have a rawkin shimmer to it. thankx to tuesday taggers for the awesome challenge. i'll be back there next week for the next one...can't wait! well ~ that's it for my scrappy goodies today ~ i'm off to clean the house ~ then i'm heading to town to visit with the kiddos today and soak in some rays!

~ sitting in paradise again ~

heh chickies! hope ya'll been gettin scrappy happy and doing lots of scrappin for me ~ seems like i haven't touch my goodies in like...foreva! yep..i'm out campin it up again and enjoying this beautiful sunshine. think i'm the only one that brought my laptop here. in order to get internet access ya gotta sit in the middle of the park ~ at the picnic table ~ beside the pool ~ and each time i've come here ~ i'm it ~ alone ~ typing my lil heart out. too funny eh! and yep..sounds like it gonna be a rawkin day here. they've got a *bull-o-rama* going on next door here at the rodeo grounds and it just started up ~ they band is playing and rawkin away! gonna love those tunes. anyhoo ~ here's a few scrappy cards i did up before i left to go camping ~ ya can also check them out on ~ Layers of Color ~ . i used laura's scrumptious stamps on these. thankx laura for your beautiful talent! well..that's it for now ~ i'm off to soak in the rays and blog hop.

~gdt reveal ~

happy scrappy hump day chickies! well..we had an awesome time campin ~ i'm home again and gettin all unpacked..and whoa..have i got tons of laundry to do! i'm nice and relaxed though ~ and feelin so refreshed from gettin out in that fresh air. anyhoo ~ today is the reveal for my goodies over at lil scrappers. it's been a blast being guest dt for this month ~ and i had a fabulous scrappy card kit to work with. so..here's a few of the cards i made for the reveal today. also, that's the handbag i did during lil scrappers NSD crop ~ it's it just the kewlest. yep, i'll definitely be making one of those again. i filled it up with some goodies and gave it to our dd for mother's day!

well, i'm packin it up again! GOTTA LOVE IT! gettin ready for another campin trip. wuv that fresh air, sittin around the camp fire, meeting new rver's and just relaxin it! here's a couple more pics of our last trip to rondalynn rv site. i just can't get enough of that place. i tried booking for the may long weekend...they're booked solid (and that's been since feb)!. wowza..guess i'll remember that for next year! definitely got book in advance. hope ya enjoy my pics ~ sure wish ya were here ~ i'd take ya'all with me! wouldn't that be kewl ~ a scrappin happy campin week! OH OH OH ~ i gotta tell ya... i got asked to be GDT over at ls this month. how kewl is that! so, i recieved the card kit and have been working like crazy on it. the reveal is on the 20th, so i'll blog it here when the time comes..be one the lookout. anyhoo ~ here's a couple of other cards i've done up. the 1st card is done with my new *kraft kuts* (fancy pants) pp. isn't it yummy! the second one is from a sketch carla did over at LS. love how the card turned out! (the pp is from *daisy bucket*) i love working with her sketches. well, that's all for now. i'm off to spend the evening with dh, scrap a lil and just veg it. hope you chickies all have a scrappin happy week!

~ spring is here ~

whohoo! nothing like the spring flowers starting to bloom ~ the sun shining and a whole lot of fresh air. yep ~ that's what i've been doing ~ gettin outside ~ breathin in some sunshine ~ planting flowers and doing lots of yard work. i just love gettin my hands in that dirt and playing. so with that said ~ i got in the scrappy spring mode and did up some spring cards. the stamps are from *layers of color. i love that lil snail..isn't he the cutest! the teenie tiny teaser cards measure 1.5 x 3.5 in. cute eh! the layout is of our new friends 'doug and darlene'. we were invited to have a weiner roast at their home a lil while ago. awesome peeps. we had a wonderful time ~ laughing and just enjoying spending time together. well ~ i'm off to load up the trailer today. dh and i are planning a lil mini trip on the island here to one of our local rv sites. yep, it'll be so nice to get out and sit around the campfire, roast some marshmellows, and just enjoy nature. hope all you chickies have a scrappy happy week.

~ sisterhoodBS28 ~

happy easter everyone! hope everyone has a scrappy happy weekend and ya get to spend some extra time with your family ~ i certainly am.
well ~ i came across SBS (Sisterhood of Blogging Stampers) this morning ~ and decided to take the plunge and join. can't wait to meet my sisters and get chattin it up. whohoo! and see more inspirtation ~ can't beat that. so ~ i'm supposed to chat it up about myself a lil to give an introdution. ok..so..here it goes. i've been scrappin happy for a lil over 3 years now ~ yep..totally addicted. i'm married to my best friend monte ~ have 2 wonderful dds ~ 2 gks and one great sil! yep..and even have my lil puppy *mojo* and a cat named *mecco*. i live here on vancouver island ~ in beautiful bc canada. i love pullin out my goodies ~ and get playing and creating. i scrap anything from cards to los to acts...to altered art. i love steppin out of my box ~ just as long as i can keep that scrappy happy mojo flowing i'll try anything. i love snappin pics ~ and playing with photo editing. i'm so looking forward to seeing everyones creations and getting to know you all. so ~ with that said ~ here's a few scrappy happy goodies i've created. the first lo is of our youngest dd melody jr. yep, i got scrappin happy here with lots of handcutting, stampin ~ and just plain ol having some scrappy happy mojo fun. the stamps are from ~ Layers of Color ~ . gotta love those birdies and flowers. aren't they just scrumptious. the title reads: *each flower is a soul opening out 2 nature* and that's a lil easter basket and card i created. i'm planning on giving it to a friend tomorrow. she's a real sweetheart and has been a great help to our family this past two years. yep, gotta get out and get a nice bouquet of flowers to add. the last lo i created using LOC stamps, too. i took that pic while on a trip to the mainland. i wuv sensets and the serenity. can't help but enjoy the beauty.
i also want to say a SPECIAL thankx to all the ladies at TYI. i just found out today that the blog will be closing. the dt and everyone has been such a wonderful inspiration and i will totally miss the challenges each week. i wish everyone all the best in their endeavors. hugs to you all.

yep..who doesn't love hugz! well..over at TYI

this week the challenge is to create a tag with the theme *cute and cuddly*. i chose my dd as my theme ~ ok..maybe i'm biased. but, she loves her hugs ~ she's cute ~ and she's cuddly! check it out chickies..there's fabulous work done by all the ladies there. also, i'm attempting to use my watercolors a bit more ~ so there a card ~ and yep, i did that lil mouse, too. don't laugh ~ i'm not very good at coloring just yet! but, i'm happy with the results so far. oh ya, and dh and in went for a long drive yesterday searching out rv and camping parks here on the island. we found some real nice ones. i took that pic of the old truck over at *quesnell lake*..definitely kewl! and whoa...what a gorgeous place to pull up with your rv and camp for a few days. hope to book a site for the easter weekend. yep..a nice lil get a away. anyhoo, i'm off for the day ~ going up island for a bit and maybe stop and view a few more sites. have a scrappy happy day chickies!
