~ sweet sketch wed !25 AND try it on tuesday

hiya everyone! hope you all had another srcappy happy week! i sure did! i not only did another card using the sketch from sweet sketch wednesday ~ but ~ i also got to particiapate in another challenge at try it on tuesday. their theme this week is alter something using fabric ~ and TIOTs sponsor this week is the craft barn.  i had fun creating for both challenges! AND AND AND...i even got another scarf knitted ~ a pink one! AND AND AND...i've completed the 1st slipper of a pair. ok..now...don't laugh too hard! (especially if you're a professional knitter!) this is my real first attempt at knitting a pair of slippers, so i'm still learning! it's an easy peasy pattern...but ~ i'm still workin on 'what wool' i need to use...and my tension! needless to say...i'm havin fun doing a little of this...and a little of that! oh...AND AND AND...the other project i've start on is a wooden bench for outside. i found another easy peasy pattern on-line...got the wood cut out ~ dh and i are at the sanding bit ~ and soon it'll be ready to paint...and yes...it'll be painted in fire engine RED! can't wait to show you a pic when i'm done!

i used an OLD  PILLOWCASE for the front of the 
altered notebook...
i stamped the design on it....then did a lil embellishing
and 'thanks' to donna c. for the scrumptious fabric flowers!

 yep....those are my tootsies 

i love the different tones in the wool

~ TIOT AND sweet sketch wednesday #124 ~

wowza...this week has gone by fast ~ but...i can't complain ~ the weather has been beautiful and we've managed to get in a few campfires and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air ~ along with friends ~ and a whole lotta laughter!

...and i even managed to escape ~ pop on over to my two favorites blog challenges and do a little creating ~ whohoo!

for my 1st creation ~ try it on tuesday's challenge this week is 'taking to the skies'...interpretated anyway you want. whoa..i had to think a little on that one....but came  up with another tag this week using some of  my older stamps that have collected a bit of dust on them...

for my 2nd creation ~ sweet sketch wednesday has another fabulous sketch. i love popping over there and challenging myself to see what i can  create using the sketches. and...i even got another christmas card done to boot! bonus!  and whoa..that image too a while to  handcut...those little lights are TI..NY! ack! the image is placed on pop dots to give a 3D effect...

both blogs have fabulous inspiration by the dt! hope ya get a chance to pop on over and give the challenges a try! come on...i dare ya!

hiya chicikies ~ hope you all had a great scrappin happy week.

i sure had a whole lotta mojo happening! i'm back to doing some knitting again . whohoo! got one scarf completed for dh and i'm onto the 2nd matching one for myself. i'll post some pics of those once they're completed. man ~ i haven't knitted in years. i'm surprised i remembered how. the card i created is for this week's challenge over at sweet sketch wednesday ~ and the tag for try it on tuesday. i used to play there a while back ~ so i'd thought i'd pop in and give it a go. this week's tag theme is 'peace and tranquility' .sure felt great playing with some mixed media again! there's lots of great inspiration at both blogs...i hope you get a chance to check them out! and oh.....my last week's card for sweet sketch wednesday..made the TOP 3 ~ HOW KEWL IS THAT! i'm so stoked! thanks dt!

the background is done with TM distress inks and water
i then stamped the background images in black
the 'couple' is stamped, handcut and colored with copics
the butterflies are handcut to give a 3d effect
everything is coated with modge podge

hiya chickies ~ whoa ~ it's sure been a while since i've been scrappin happy! summer is over ~ and wow ~ it was a busy one ~ had lots of friends over ~ lots of campfires ~ lots of scrumptious food and a whole lotta laughs! ah...what great memories! now i hope to get back into some serious creating!
