hiya chickies! hope you're havin a sunny scrappy happy day...in your part of the world. it's another rainy day here in paradise! yep ~ i'm thinkin i had better find those rubber boots and umbrella ~ i'm beginning to feel like a duck! anyhoo ~ i found an awesome sketch challenge yesterday...'unscripted sketches'. thought i'd jump in and play. there's some scrumptious inspiration there by the dt and there's such a variety of takes on the sketch...i like that! so...here's my card for the challenge. notice...no mags...no sarah kay...whoa...that's different for me ~ but, you know how much i wuv my flowers and lacey ribbon!

yep...that's right chickies ~ i actually have been doing a 'lil' bit of playing with my goodies. life has been getting in the way lately...so...i had to put a halt to everything...and take some 'me' time! for my card ~ i used this week's

the rules at SSW have changed! they're wanting the participants to use the sponsors digi images in order to win the prizes and to support their sponsors! good 'new rule'! but...lil ol me doesn't have a printer cause we have limited space (long story!) i just love using the sketches and playing along.
so...with that said....

i played with my new sarah kay stamp dh got me for christmas and those beautiful flowers.

i've been doing a lil bit of kniting...juz for fun ~ using up some scraps of wool. i made these lil 'comfort dolls'. they're so easy peasy to make and a good way to up cycle those left over balls of wool. so without further adu i'd like you to meet

hiya chickies! wow ~ i finally got everything settled from a busy holiday season ~ and i'm back to getting scrappy happy! it was a fabulous year of creating in 2011 ~ and being inspired by each and everyone one of you! i'm so looking forward to gettin back to doin some more challenges again this year and playing with my goodies and doin a whole lotta creatin ~ especially with all the new scrappy goodies my dh got me for christmas! with that said ~ here's my 1st creation of the year! i used a sketch created by arlana over at

i'm dreaming of a 'green' christmas

hiya chickies! yep ~ i've been dreaming of a 'green' christmas! looks like my wish is coming true. with only 2 more days left til christmas ~ and no white fluffy stuff in the forecast ~ i should be able to see those flowers still blooming outside when santa arrives!

last sunday... dh and i spent the day with our 2 daughters, 2 gks and 2 son-in-laws celebrating our christmas together. we had a great day ~ lots of pressies ~ lots of chitter chattering ~ and a wonderful christmas supper. everyone had a great time!

wow ~ can you believe it's only 9 more days til christmas! i'm pretty well done all the 'christmassy' shopping...just a couple more cards and i'm done! i'm so looking forward to getting together with family and friends over the holidays and juz chillaxin! (and eating all that scrumptious food ~ diet can come later!)

this week over the try it on tuesday ~ the theme is 'tagtastic' ~ gift tags galore! i used the new stamp the received from the craft barn ~ from winning a challenge at try it on tuesday ~ isn't it adorable! i stamped ~ colored ~ layered and handstiched the stocking. thanks again for the scrumptious goodie.

i made a christmas card for dh's sister using sketch 132 over at sweet sketch wednesday. and again...the dt has some great inspiration ~ do check it out!

...and oh ~ this week i received a brown envie in the mail ~ all the way from the UK. i was so surprised..and didn't have a clue who it was from...as there was no return addy. ok...i opened it up and these were the goodies i received from 'zoe'...whoa... such scrumptious goodies! i've always admired her talent and creativy...and now ~ i've got a few goodies in hand! i'm honored! the altered canvas is absolutely gorgeous IRL...and those butterfly embellies are 3D and so yummy! i love butterflies. also, zoe made the necklance...ok.....like...WOWZA..that is just toally rawkin kewl! the colors are just beautiful. and it's funny...i have been searching for a necklace to go with my new blouse that i'm wearing at christmas...and this matches just perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH ZOE! you're a sweetheart and i will cherish your gifts foreva! big hugz!

'christmas spirit' ~ ssw 131

ah...the countdown is on! christmas ~ only 17 days away!
and i've definitely been into the 'christmas spirit'!

this past week ~ i've put up our tree ~ decorated ~ shopped ~ baked ~ wrapped pressies...wrapped, baked... shopped...and decorated! i made some homemade 'peanut butter cups', 'sweet fudge' and my fave ~ 'butter tarts'. yummy! ok...now all i have to do is make sure those goodies stay hidden in the freezer so they don't disappear all too soon! i see dh sneak peeking one too many times!

whohoo ~ another christmas card ~ done! (sorry for the card pics ~ it's really frosty out this morning ~ and i'm still in my pj's trying to snap pics...it was a quick one! bbrrr!)

this is how i wrapping my christmas pressies this year ~ just a lil bit of tissue paper or brown postal paper ~ a paper doily ~ some rafia as the ribbon ~ twirled the ends ~ then added a pinecone or bell decoration! i love how it looks! so easy peasy and it really does look beautiful IRL!

happy scrappy thursday everyone!

well...after a busy week and a half here...i was able to get out my scrappy goodies yesterday and do a lil creating! i've had company from out of town (dh's aunt and uncle from across canada) ~ and been busy working on the rv ~ so my goodies have been tucked away and just beggin to come out and play! funny how a week or so can go by ~ when life gets in the way ....how much we miss our creative time ~ i sure did! i missed seeing everyone's creations and participating in the

challenges ~ but...i'm here now!

for try it on tuesday's challenge this week...it's all about altering a can. i love altering ~ so it was a perfect challenge for me! dh and i had some canned corn with our sup...so instead sending it to recycling ~ i created my altered can for a few of my copics! why waste a good thing eh!

i think it turned out pretty kewl!

...and of course ~ i created another card using a great sketch #130 ~ created by arlana over at sweet sketch wedesday. thanks again chickie! i colored and handcut another sarah kay image ~ isn't she a doll!

oh...and speaking of altering ~ i altered a set of clothes pins! kewl eh! i'm gonna use these to hang my christmas cards this year ...instead of just hanging them on a piece of boring string. ah...this should spice it up a bit! it's a great project and takes no time at all to create.

happy scrappy snowy day chickies! YEP...it's been snowing that white stuff here...on and off all day! it's so pretty! i quess it's time for me to except winter is finally here,
dig out my winter clothes and snuggle up!

so...with that said...i've been staying in ~ got the fireplace going and got scrappin happy!

my 1st creation is for try it on tuesday ~ who's theme this week is 'wish you were here' ~ anything goes! i altered a set of dominos...that was fun! i haven't done that i quite a while and it was sure fun playing with some of my goodies that have been stashed away for quite some time! my card was created using another great sketch from
sweet sketch wednesday. arlana sure does have some awesome sketches ~ i love the challenge of trying to create a card using them. thanks again to all the dt at both blogs who have such great inspiration! oh..and sorry for the pics ~ that white stuff outside is not helping with clearness...
which reminds me: i still gotta take a pic of my bench! i decided on white instead of red!
(that way i can use it in the rv ~ if i change my mind)

i hope everyone has had an awesome week! i have..and have been busy...busy!it's a really blistery, windy..chilly day here today! whoa! thinkin i'll stay and stay warm.hope you all have sunshine where you are! if so..please send some my way!

my first creation is for Try It on Tuesday ~ who's challenge this week is to create a tag using 'peels offs'.ok...i hunted high and low for those in my stash...to no avail. went shopping...couldn't find any either! so...i took an ol' sticker and created the outline of the angel. i placed it down...distressed over it ~ then peeled it off...then handcut the inside angel out ~ leaving the masked effect around the angel. i placed a paper doily behind it to give a 3D effect! ok...i tried! watch...next time i go shopping ~ those peel offs will probably be staring me in the face!

hiy chickies! hope everyone had a great week!
it's been blistery and cold and rainy here all week...ah ~ great excuse for stayin in, stayin warm and doing a lil creating!
my first creation is for try it on tuesday ~ who's theme this week is shaped cards! that is ~ cards of different shapes and sizes ~ as long as they are not the normal flat square/retangular cards. i think i accomplished that! i've always wanted to make a flower pot card ~ and i did! sure had fun creating it! lots of lil flowers on that one! oh ~ and speaking of challenges ~ i won last week's challenge over at try it on tuesday ~ how kewl is that!i won a gift certificate to 'the craft barn' ~ i can't wait to go shopping there! AND ~ i get a spot as a guest designer! whohoo!

hiya everyone! hope you all had another srcappy happy week! i sure did! i not only did another card using the sketch from sweet sketch wednesday ~ but ~ i also got to particiapate in another challenge at try it on tuesday. their theme this week is alter something using fabric ~ and TIOTs sponsor this week is the craft barn. i had fun creating for both challenges! AND AND AND...i even got another scarf knitted ~ a pink one! AND AND AND...i've completed the 1st slipper of a pair. ok..now...don't laugh too hard! (especially if you're a professional knitter!) this is my real first attempt at knitting a pair of slippers, so i'm still learning! it's an easy peasy pattern...but ~ i'm still workin on 'what wool' i need to use...and my tension! needless to say...i'm havin fun doing a little of this...and a little of that! oh...AND AND AND...the other project i've start on is a wooden bench for outside. i found another easy peasy pattern on-line...got the wood cut out ~ dh and i are at the sanding bit ~ and soon it'll be ready to paint...and yes...it'll be painted in fire engine RED! can't wait to show you a pic when i'm done!

wowza...this week has gone by fast ~ but...i can't complain ~ the weather has been beautiful and we've managed to get in a few campfires and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air ~ along with friends ~ and a whole lotta laughter!

...and i even managed to escape ~ pop on over to my two favorites blog challenges and do a little creating ~ whohoo!

for my 1st creation ~ try it on tuesday's challenge this week is 'taking to the skies'...interpretated anyway you want. whoa..i had to think a little on that one....but came up with another tag this week using some of my older stamps that have collected a bit of dust on them...

for my 2nd creation ~ sweet sketch wednesday has another fabulous sketch. i love popping over there and challenging myself to see what i can create using the sketches. and...i even got another christmas card done to boot! bonus! and whoa..that image too a while to handcut...those little lights are TI..NY! ack! the image is placed on pop dots to give a 3D effect...

i sure had a whole lotta mojo happening! i'm back to doing some knitting again . whohoo! got one scarf completed for dh and i'm onto the 2nd matching one for myself. i'll post some pics of those once they're completed. man ~ i haven't knitted in years. i'm surprised i remembered how. the card i created is for this week's challenge over at sweet sketch wednesday ~ and the tag for try it on tuesday. i used to play there a while back ~ so i'd thought i'd pop in and give it a go. this week's tag theme is 'peace and tranquility' .sure felt great playing with some mixed media again! there's lots of great inspiration at both blogs...i hope you get a chance to check them out! and oh.....my last week's card for sweet sketch wednesday..made the TOP 3 ~ HOW KEWL IS THAT! i'm so stoked! thanks dt!

hiya chickies! well..it's been a couple of weeks since i posted. we've been travelling...been out enjoying the beautiful sunshine...and just plain ol enjoy the summer camping!

ah... therefore...my lack of scrappin.

i popped on over to sweet sketch wednesday and just had to do their sketch...and what a yummy sketch it is...ok..i did follow it...but, flipped it...and then decided to add some flowers at the last minute...so...the design is there..it's just covered up a lil! you can't see it too well ...but..each layer is placed on with popdots to give a 3D effect. hope you pop on over and take a try at the sketch!

hiya chickies ~ happy scrappin wednesday! yep...and that means another rawkin sketch from sweet sketch wednesday. pop on over and check it out ~ the dt have some great inspiration and ya gotta agree ~ it's always great to have a sketch to follow when creating.so stoked, too ~ one of the camppers here near me... saw my card and is going to be buying it off me for her daughter's b-day ~ how kewl is that!

i've stamped and handcut the butterflies ~ colored them with copics and added a touch of stickes. the butterflies and flowers are placed with popdots to give a 3D effect. the bouquet is handcut with my fave exacto knife..and the blue flowers are from 'love is in the details'...wuv those flowers!

whoa...this week sure has gone fast ~ been busy around the campground ~ soaking in a few rays and chittin chattin it up with friends. ah...sure feels great to be outside after that long winter we had! well...i peeked back on over at sweet sketch wednesday this morning...and WHOA...my last week's card was in the top 3...how kewl is that! thanks ssw dt! so appreciated! i'll wear my badge proudly. also, there's a new sketch up this week ~ so i gotta gettin scrappy happy this morning and have been working on this card for the most part today (finished just in time to watch the playoffs!) the lace circle is spritzed with coffee glimmer mist, as is the lil roses. the clocks on the right side of the card are all handcut and raised with pop dots, as is the image to give a 3D effect. yep..and those cars are also handcut and there's a whole lotta distressin going on..with some yummy ink from my friend donna. thanks chickie!

hiya chickies! hope you're all doing well! whoa...sure have been missing everyone ~ but...i really needed to take a well deserved break from everything, recoup and put things into perspective. ok...i won't lie..i was burning out and needed a break! dh and i have certainly had our share of appointments and travelling this past 4 years or so and it does it's toll on ya! nice to just be home and settle down for a bit. ah...sigh! i do have to say ~ i really have appreciated EVERYONE'S love and suuport. it does not go unnoticed! also, we've had some friends out here at the campground ~ playing games ~ chittin and chattin ~ and juz lazin it up! can't beat that! anyhooo... i've pulled out my goodies today and gotta gettin scrappin happy. i popped over to sweet sketch wednesday to try this week's sketch challenge and see the great inspiration the ladies have created. here's my card for the challenge ~ whoa...gotta say i thought i lost my touch there...it's been quite some time since i created anything or colored a mag. sure did feel good playing and creatin again! the pic of the flower was a photo a snapped over in our neighbors garden ~ i did a lil digi editing ~ purdy flower eh! well..take care this week chickies ~ i'm gonna be doing some more camping with some friends..but ~ i'm gonna be back wednesday to check out the next upcoming sketch!

hiya chickies! whoa ~ it seems like 'foreva' since i visited over at sweet sketch wednesday and got scrappy happy with one of their challenges. dh and i have been going to lots of appointments and travelling here and there...so, it's hard to get creative at times.... anyhoo ~ another great sketch got posted today ~ i dug right in and got scrappin happy and created this birthday card. ah...gotta love a good sketch ~ and i'm happy with the results. i'm giving this card to a friend ~ whose birthday i missed cause dh and i were out of town..ah..better late than never...right? hope she likes it.

well ~ it's been a good past few days to get scrappin happy. it's been nothing but that white fluffy stuff outside and cold. i haven't been much in the mood to be venturing too far. so, i've been inside ~ stayin cozy warm and gettin a lil scrappy happy. i created the card for a friend of mine ~ her b-day is tommorrow (she's going to be a whoppin 71 years old - hope she likes it) i followed a sketch from

hiya chickies! well ~ here we are in 2011 already ~ and i'm a bit off to a slow start on the scrappin! i think i just needed to unwind from the holiday season ~ and get back to some normality. anyhoo ~ i popped on over to

and did two of their challenges. week one of 2011 was a card challenge with the theme ~ 'new'. i've been blessed with so many new friends this past year ~ so i chose that as my theme. and for their 2nd week's challenge ~ it's a tag with the theme 'male'. i went a lil vintage this time around ~ whoa..i haven't touched those goodies in quite some time ~ i feel out of touch! anyhoo ~ it was great feeling those goodies again ~ and to top it off ~ i used that scrumptious pp that donna c. sent me for my b-day ~ how kewl is that! i'm looking forward to playing along some more over at tag it on tuesdays and seeing the creativity the chickies over there have made!

hiya chickies ~ well i tell ya ~ i'm sure glad to be back on the internet! i've been without it for the past couple of weeks ~ it has been booting me on and off and on and off! hiya chickies! wow ~ this week went fast ~ can hardly believe it's alreay december and christmas is just around the corner! and we might even get a green chrismtas ~ that white fluffy stuff is gone ~ whohoo! so with that said ~ i've been madly creating some christmas cards again this week ~ and snuck in a challenge from sweet sketch wednesday.

ok ~ it's not exactly the way the sketch is ~ as i flipped the centre square to make it look like a diamond shape ~ but nonetheless ~ here's my take on the challenge. and once again ~ i've been using my copics ~ playing ~ and coloring those scrumptious magnolias. thanks again to the dt over at SKW for your awesome inspiration. and thanks to donna c. for that scrumptious lace!

hiya chickies! hope you're stayin nice and warm. we've been getting that rainy snowy slush today ~ ACK! so i've been staying cozy warm and staying in my jammies playing all day! so ~ here's a lil card i created for this week's challenge over at sweet sketch wednesday.

hiya chickies! hope everyone has been out there gettin scrappy happy! i have! here's my lo for the newsest challenge over at dirty scraps ~ ok...i tried to create a lil apron on there ~ i am definitely NOT a sewer ~ but you get the just of what it is and the meaning behind it once you read the journaling. i also created an altered canvas ~ it's been spritzed with glimmer mist and flipped over to create inside of the canvas' back! the roses on it are handmade ~ my first attempt ~ whohoo and they turned out pretty good! also ~ i did a card using my new copics ~ ok..i'm pretty new at this copic thing ~ so bare with me while i'm learning how to use them. thanks to donna c. for

all her tips and help.

since you've grown into adults and have become your own person ~ i've learned to cut those apron strings that you've held on so tight with and sometimes that i have, too. you see ~ as your mother ~ i've always wanted to protect you in hopes that you would 'never' have to experience any of the tragedies and turmoils that i've gone through ~ so i've held onto the apron strings and sheltered you and became consumed with 'your' life ~ and in life with your own fears of growing up ~ you've held on too tight. i've had to cut those strings and move on and learn to live my own life without smothering you with my opinions and the 'i think you should of's'. please know ~ i love you both ~ but you need to experience life on your own ~ you need to learn your own lessons ~ be it 'right' or 'wrong'. you need to fall down ~ and get up 'on your own' ~ you need to cry your own cries and laugh your own laughs and as adults you need to make adult decisions. and in the event of a tragedy ~ know i am here ~ supporting you and loving you. and believe me the change of moving on 'for me' hasn't been an easy road ~ but, one day ~ you'll grow up a little more~ your children will grow ~ and you will then understand. we all have to move forward in life ~ learn our own life's lessons and move on. your mother, melody

hiya chickies! first off i'd like to wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! hope you all have a wonderful day ~ spent with family and friends. dh and i have been down with a crazy cold that just won't let up - so the two of us are stayin in..and stayin warm! we're gonna cook up a nice lil dinner for ourselves tonight and watch a few movies. on the scrappin side of things ~ i created this lil pumpkin for our table. yep, it's there now and is going to be part of our thanksgiving setting today. the lo is created for the new challenge over at dirty scraps. again ~ the dt rawked another challenge with amazing creations. thanks again ladies for your inspiration. oh...and gotta tell ya ~ I WON #17 challenge at dirty scraps...some copics...how kewl is that eh! i so can't wait for them to arrive so i can get playin.

i just don’t get it sometimes ~ the lies i sometimes tell ‘myself’ ~ as stand and face the ‘man in the glass’. i try to justify my responses and actions towards ‘certain’ people when in fact ~ it is me who should be telling the truth. it is me who should taking off the facades and facing reality. i stand there in front of certain people ~ who have indespicably hurt me ~ and words come out of my mouth like ‘yes’...and ‘ok’...and i agree and sometimes laugh ~ and i fake a smile ~ and hug...yet cringe inside..when in reality ~ when deep down inside ...the truth is i really don’t want to participate in certain people’s lives...beacause they’ve had a profound effect on my emotional serenity....and have deeply hurt me...and yet it is me that stands there..and stays in silence with my pain ~ it is me who has the deficiency to love myself enough... it is me that lacks the courage..it is me who is afraid sometimes to say it ‘just the way it is’...it is me who pretends at times to ‘like‘ certain people. it is me who tries to justify ~ it is me who has that false sense of hope...when in fact ~ i know ~ it’ll never change.it is the ‘man in the glass’ that needs to face the truth ~ the real truth ~ and quit lying to herself ~ it is me....who needs to change.it is me who needs to face these people ~ stand up with enough respect for myself ~ and say it ~ the way ‘it is’. stand and be true to ‘yourself’.

i cannot even begin to tell you just how appreciative we've been ~ the support my husband and i have been so freely given by everyone i've met in the scrappin world. 31/2 years ago when my husband had his accident and had his arm amputated...our world changed in an instant and it was my scrappin friends that supported us the most. it was the worst time of our lives...and to be honest ~ the company he worked for ...didn't even acknowlege him ~ didn't even send a card ~ and still to this day...no response. it angers me...and yet saddens me. i mean..like..'really'. how sad is that! i've carried so much hurt over their lack of acknowledgement...and must admit it is hard to 'let go'...but, if it wasn't for my scrappin friends, the cards, the encouragement, the love, the flowers ~ sent even from around the world ~ the unconditional love ~ i don't know if i could have held on as long as i have. so, 'really'... this is for my scrappin friends...each of you ~ 'just for being there' ~ 'just for being you' ~ for holding my hand ~ for talking me through all my hubands surgeries ~ for holding 'out' your hand ~ for holding me up when i was fallen down..for encouraging me to continue scrappin...for just loving 'us'...for being there online..for phoning ~ for your unconditional time...'really' you all hold a special place in our hearts...and 'we' thank you.

hiya chickies! thanks so much for your compliments on my last lo! this 'dirty scraps'n is awesome therapy! whoa! anyhoo ~ they got a new challenge up this week ' your love hurts me'...yep...i jumped right in and had to play! so here's my lo this week ~ NUMBER 2 of my dirty scrappin ~ "no more" ~ ever!

it really saddens me at times ~ those memories of you ~ a 'mother' ~ only by name! the way you used to say those three little words ~ they meant nothing. and never will. you have no idea of the amount of damage you caused! the pain and hurt ~ and anger i've carried for years. do you have any frikken idea the amount of anxiety those threats caused on me? how many sleepless nights i've had? do you have any idea of the pain and amount of tears i've shed over the years because you took your anger out on me? do you know how hard its been for 'me' to be a mother to my own children...what kind of example did i have? you ~ who would drive down the road ~ swirving the car ~ threatening to kill us both...i was a child..my god! you who'd watch and say nothing while my so called 'father' would beat me with that electric frying pan cord...with his bare hands! you who would hold me one minute...and downgrade me the next! you...i don't even know you! you'd laugh on minute ~ hate the next ~ you'd put on the facades in front of people ~ smile ~ go to church and come home and beat your child ~ you who called yourself my mother ~ not a chance ~ 'no more' ~ ever!

hiya chickies! wow...thanks so much for the great compliments and missing me! it's been a crazy summer here ~ and i needed the time away to recoup. i also haven't had much mojo happening ~ so, i decided to take a lil different take on my scrappin. i popped on over to 'dirty scraps' where the chickies there scrap about REAL LIFE dirty stuff. wow..what therapy! i've been carrying around way to much crap lately and just needed to start gettin it off my back. thanks to pinky for starting such a wonderful blog! hugz (just click on the names and check em out chickies...some great inspiration to be had!)

so..with that said..here's my first 'dirty scrap' lo:

~ beautiful inside and out ~ (oh and sorry for the long post...whoa..this lo took awhile to create)

its been said that 'the shock of any trauma can leave an indelible mark on your psyche' ~ how true that is. my life sometimes feels that it is compiled of traumas...and nothing more and that those traumas have left a mark...an unremovable mark that lies within me. sometimes i feel so many mixed emotions ~ the anger ~ the hurt ~ the pain ~ resentment and loss ~ that i get so caught up in the emotions...i forget to live because i am just trying to get from one moment to the next ~ without feeling so far apart i don't exist! sometimes...i feel like running...escaping nowhere! can you blame me? can you not see? are you that blind? being raped ~ being molested ~ being neglected ~ beaten ~ and shoved aside ~ loosing everything ~ using and abusing ~ using drugs to alter my state and escape ~ trying to find my own way ~ and not! loving and loosing ~ having death stare you in the face ~ almost dying myself ~ watching a loved one loose a part of their body ~ and fade! seeing a loved one not in reality ~ loosing themselves in the shuffle ~ loosing themselves to drugs ~ convulsing ~ dying ~ it's sad..so sad! cleaning splatters of blood and carrying that emotionally ~ as if it happened yesterday ~ for years ~ having nightmares ~ waking in sweats ~ crying ~ trusting...and loosing trust! sometimes i just want to scream ~ at something ~ at someone! sometimes i just want the pain to disipate ~ to fade! sometimes i feel i'm being judged by my outward appearances ~ by my actions and responses of the hell inside my head ~ but, how can anyone know the screaming and yelling tht goes on inside of me ~ how could they? how could anyone possibly judge me ~ when they don't know ~ when they don't see the struggles i go through everyday inside my head! why would i want to even burden anyone with such intense emotional turmoil? sometimes...all i want is to just reach out and hug and touch ~ and melt ~ and feel. how can i possibly do that? the loss of my husband's arm sometimes makes everything seem so vacant ~ and void! it's just another mark...an indelible mark! damn ~ can i be given anymore trials to try and overcome? my brain and my body are already overwhelmingly cluttered! you see ~ i am...'who..i am' ~ with all my history! and if someone really took the time to see beyond that past ~ deep within me lies ~ a glimpse of compassion and love ~ understanding ~ and a person that at times mistakenly got off the right path in my journey of life. And even though my body keeps the scars of those traumas...there within lies someone that is 'beautiful both inside and out'.

HIYA chickies! whoa..am i late posting this! i've been up island since yesterday and just arrived home this evening! had to take dh to another appointment ~ let me tell ya ~ that was a long drive and a long appointment! sure am glad to be home and settled back in again! i certainly don't want to drive anywhere for the next few days...i'm beginning to see lines! AND ~ chriss rollins ~ is still our quest designer ~ and what fabulous work that chickie creates! for my atc i was inspired by the lil pic on the side of my blog ~ the quote ~ "WE ARE EACH OF US ANGELS WITH ONLY ONE WING AND WE CAN ONLY FLY BY EMBRACING ONE ANOTHER." the background of my atc was distressed with tim holtz inks ~ i then cut, stamped and used rubons for all the wording (with a lil help from dh...what a guy!) ~ whoa...that took quite a while doing some of those letterz..one by one! the image is handcut ~ as is the stamped wing. to give a 3D effect the butterflies were handcut ~ with folded forward wings. i handcut the rose for placement ~ then put on modpodge for a rough ~ shine ~ and added the ribbon for a final touch! well..that was a quick post ~ ACK ~ i really dislike being late! ok...i promise that won't happen next week! big hugz chickies ~ hope you have a rawkin scrappin happy week!

happy scrappin friday chickies! i hope ya get a chance to pop on over to Something Completely Different we have a guest designer *chriss rollins*! i {{heart}} her work ~ she rawks! yep..she's got lots of yummy goodies to get inspiration from. for this month's challenges ~ it's all about ATCs ~ and laura has chosen the theme *march hare*! whoa..i almost froze when that was posted..ACK! i had no clue on what to do ~ and didn't have a stamp with anything that has anything..to do with rabbits or hares. so..i thumbed through a magazine and handcut out that hare..and went from there. the background of my atc was distressed with different colors of TH's distressing inks ~ the words were then stamped on top ~ i distressed ~ colored the hare..handcut the diamond pp for placement ~ the chipboard frame was colored with glimmer mist..yep..it does shimmer and shine and is raised to give a 3D effect! i added some bling and ribbon for a final touch! so come one over chickies..and give er a try ~ it sure gets ya thinkin outside the box ~ and the dt have some great inspiration to see! oh... and that's a valentine's card i did for my dh...ssshh..don't tell! well..that's it for my scrappy goodies today! i'm heading outside ~ so, i hope all you chickies have a rawkin scrappy happy day!

whoa chickies...has this week gone by fast! hope you're all doing great and stayin warm. i hear a lot of you are still gettin that white stuff! it's been so nice on the island here. its been raining ~ but, i can't complain really...it not white coming down..and it's not cold! we've actually managed to get outside and enjoy a few campfires. ah...can't beat that! well this is the last week of the arch challenges over at Something Completely Different. its was a great month makin them and a great challenge for me! this week's challenge is an arche with the theme *cats*. the background of my arche was rubbed with distress inks ~ then stamped. the image and cats are from a collage sheet i bought from artchix studio ~ and the bird was handcut from pp. i added some rubons in the background ~ stamped the letterz individually ~ then added some ribbon, stickles and bling for a final touch. i do hope you get a chance to pop on over to SCD and try the challenge out! we'd love to come and visit you and see your creations! also, that's a card i made using the new stamps dh bought me from *layers of color* for christmas ~ i just wuv those butterflies..yummy! well ~ i hope you all have a rawkin scrappy happy week! i'm off to do some housecleaning today ~ and errands downtown. ta ta!

yep...that's right chickies ~ the theme this week over at Something Completely Different is FASHION. my fellow dt member ang choose this awesome theme..and i sure hope you get a chance to visit us and join in the fun of makin our 2nd arche challenge of 2010! for my arche..i sprayed the background with two diff colored glimmer mists ~ stamped on top ~ added a heidi swap funky kewl design ~ added some rubons ~ bling ~ handcut the dolls for placement..and added stickles and ribbon for a final touch! the dolls were distressed with blue ink. the background does shimmer and shine..........ah ~ if only the camera would pick that up! i haven't been able to get scrappy happy much this past little bit. dh and i are on the mainland right now. dh had surgery this morning. yep..i had a few little cries this mornin ~ ya gotta hate that waiting game! anyhoo, he's back here with me at the hotel ~ the surgery went well ~ and i'm so thankful for all you chickies who kept us in your thoughts and prayers. thank you!

happy scrappin saturday chickies! well...no snow here yet ~ but, whoa..it's gettin cold out! can't complain though ~ i've been chattin it up some chickies ~ and whoa ~ talk about *COLD* in their neck of the woods ~ some at -39 ~ ACK! that's cold! sure am lucky to be here on the island ~ where it's a warmer than that! no complaining here. anyhoo ~ i was blog hoppin last night and came across another challenge blog *If The Shoe fits... Scrap It!*. kewl stuff! the theme is LET IT SNOW! yep...the challenge is to create something with snow on it. so, here's my card. i had just received a lil card kit from my scrappy friend carla with the snowman image in it ~ so, i got scrappin happy today...and did up the card for the challenge. i added some snow on the lantern ~ and at the bottom of the image. also, i created the other card for a challenge over at Lil' Scrappers', which required using *ol' goodies* ~ i used ol' pp, ol' bling, ol' stamps and some ol' ribbon. gotta love a challenge...it sure does get ya thinkin outside the box. well ~ that's it for my goodies today ~ i'm off to spend the evening doing some blog hoppin ~ and watch a movie or two.

heh there chickies! ah...no rain today! whohoo! i got outside today...did a lil venturing down town. dh and i went to a craft sale, had some lunch, went to the beach for a bit, then home for a nice campfire. what a way to spend a saturday! fresh air, awesome peeps & nature. can't beat that! and to top it off ~ i got scrappy happy! another week has gone by and a new challenge has been posted over at Something Completely Different. the challenge this week is *red & white snowman*. i did a 2 in 1 card as i wanted to send a dear friend an ornament from my tree to her tree. the snowman ornament is attached with velcro, so it can be taken off..and the lil *warm holiday wishes* tag can be put in its place. hope she likes it. oh and...sorry for the pics! it's night time here...and i so gotta retake the pics! hopefully, it'll be another nice day tomorrow and i can get some natural light! anyhoo, hope you all had a awesome day ~ are havin an awesome evening ~ and are gonna have an awesome sleep! hugz to ya'all

heh chickies! hope the sun is shining where you are ~ and you're all havin a rawkin scrappy happy day! it's STILL raining here ~ whoa ~ yep...it's like..totally wet out there. but, that's ok...gives me time inside to get a lil scrappin done...can't complain about that. so, with that said ~ here's two projects i just finished up. the first one is for Tuesday Taggers ~ a challenge that's all about the *celebration of light*. i stamped on my candles....ok..not the bestest job..but ~ it was my 1st time trying that technique ~ ah..not that hard! i've seen it done lots...so i thought i'd take the plunge. i'm pretty happy with the results..and will definitely try it again. the 2nd creation is for Project Tuesday ~ which is a great lil note book holder. it's so quick and easy peasy to do ~ and makes an awesome lil gift and was another great challenge. i'm giving these lil goodies to a friend in her lil santa pressie ~ ...ssshhh! well ~ i'm off to do a lil tidying and spend some time cuddling my dh! hope you have an awesome day!

yep.....i read it right this week! the challenge that is...over at Something Completely Differentt. after last week ~ i thought i had better double take it before i got started. foolish me. guess i should wear my glasses more often. anyhoo ~ the challenge this week is *blue and white and snowflakes*. for my card ~ i used a *cross* stamp for the snowflakes. sssshhh...don't tell! i stamped 6 of them. cut 3 of them in full size. then for the top layer of the snowflake ~ i cut just a cross part out and placed on top ~ added some white stickles ~ and whalaa ~ my interpretation of a snowflake! i also added white rubon snowflakes on the background cs ~ hole punched the border and used a white gel pen for the stitching.

whohoo ~ no rain today! the puddles have finally gone away! man, i'm stoked. it was getting so dreary around here. the sun isn't out ~ but, the sky is clear! ah.....what a nice feeling. at least i can go outside and not get wet! anyhoo ~ i did up that lil box for this week's challenge over at Project Tuesday. and whoa...i gotta say ~ what a kewl lil project. the peek a boo box is only 2.25x2.25" when finished. it's great for putting lil goodies in. i haven't quite decided what's going in mine yet. the ladies over at PT have made some awesome lil boxes and have some great ideas for pressies. check it out chickies ~ it would be great to see ya join us. also, i did that card up for Tuesday Taggers ~ whoa..it's been foreva since i played along there! the challenge this week is red, gold and green. i handcut the sleigh and reindeer...and added some snow glue on the sleigh. ACK...it's not showing up in the pic..yep..i'll have to do a retake pic. there's a pic there, too..of the lil hidden card that pulls out. anyhoo, thankx again ladies for your awesome inspiration. i'll definitely be checking back for next weeks challenge. well, that's it for my goodies today. i'm off to do some cleaning up and take dh to an appointment down island. hope you all have a rawkin scrappy happy day!

happy scrappy friday chickies! hope you're all havin a great start to the weekend. this card is for Something Completely Different challenge this week. ok...someone kick me! i totally sucked at reading the theme for this week's challenge ~ which is PINK and a tree. ok...so, i start making the card..get everything all done....go back to SCD and re-read...only to find it's supposed to have PINK in the challenge. well...duh! so, i take off the red ribbon i had on the top of the ribbon tree and the green bling...and replaced them with a pink ones. well...i can't say i didn't try! and i did enjoy making the card and doing that ribbon tree. whohoo! ok...i promise *myself* to read the theme more carefully next time! because you're in it! yep, that's the title of my card for this week's challenge over at Project Tuesday (the challenge is to create a lil pocket card). and *I AM BLESSED* because you're in it. you have all touched my heart in some way or another and for that i am very grateful. just as it is remembrance day today ~ it is a time to remember our veterans who have gone before us ~ for our troops today ~ and for that i am very grateful. so, on this 11 month ~ on the 11th hour ~ two minutes of silence will be held. and if you get a chance chickies to check out this video *pittance of time* click on the 3rd one ~ please do ~ it is well worth it. dh and i will be spending some time with the veterans today at the legion for a little luncheon. heh chickies! hope everyone had a save and fun halloween and didn't get scared by too many goblins. dh and i stayed home for the evening and vegged watchin movies...ah that was nice! well..i did up the challenge for Something Completely Different ..which.. was nothin else..but halloween. i handcut that spider's web and the lil spider...then added some glitter to the spider..nothin fancy pancy...but, eh..i made the attempt! i didn't have too much halloween goodies to play with...so, i worked with what i had. and of course...i'm still workin on my christmas cards ~ so here's another one. that pic there is of our gd..yeppers..all dressed up for halloween...isn't she a doll! also, thankx so much for all your prayers and thoughts. dh's surgery had to get cancelled..bummer..but, he was sick and we didn't want to take any chances. he had some major flu symtoms goin on! whohoo ~ another scrappin happy day! although it's raining, windy and a lil chilly out there...it's still a scrappin happy day! i did up that inchie for this week's challenge over at Something Completely Different. it's all about *faces* this week. check it out ladies...there's so much inspiration over there. and if ya feel like trying your hand at doing an inchie ~ we'd love you to join in! also there's a couple of christmas cards i did up this week. something simple and fun! i've been kinda pre-occupied with dh going in for his upcoming surgery. whoa...this is the 7th surgery in almost 3 years! ACK! so needless to say it's been takin up space in my head. i feel like my scrappy ability has gone out the window! can't concentrate too much on makin something big! anyhoo, he goes in thurs mornin. so...can ya all say a lil prayer for his recovery and health...it would be so appreciated. this surgery is to remove a screw that got misplaced in his shoulder when his accident happened, to clean out the rotator cuff and possibly to chip away at some bone and stretch a muscle/nerve. it's been a long haul since his initial accident and the amputation of his arm. so...yep..i'm a lil preoccupied. so with all that said ~ i won't be gettin scrappy happy for the next week or so...but, i'll be takin my laptop with me to the mainland and will be poppin in to say hi in blogland and checkin out all your beautiful creations. take care ~ and lots of hugz!

hope all ya chickies are havin a *sunny* scrappin happy day! whoa..it's been raining buckets here for the past two days. yep...................it's feeling awful soggy out there! anyhoo, i've been in and out today and snuck in some scrappy time. i did the inchie for this week's challenge over at Something Completely Different. the theme this week is black and white. sorry for the pic ~ those lil inchies are hard to snap a pic of. once i finished my inchie ~ i used the same stamp (full version) and re-created the inchie (well, as close to it as i could) in full size onto a card ~ and added the inchie as a final touch. the inchie and card are layered to give a 3D effect. juz click on the pics and ya can see a close up shot. thankx to the ladies over at SCD for all their inspiration. i'm sure lovin these challenges.

heh chickies! hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving ~ were able to spend it with family and friends ~ and eat lots of yummy goodies! dh and i spent sunday with friends and had a scrumptious turkey dinner and on monday we spent the day with family. yepperz..we had a ham dinner and all the fixins..........i'm so full! everything was so delicious and it was great to spend time visiting and catching up with everyone. despite being busy, i managed to get a little scrappy happy time in and do a lil creating. that's a card i made for one of our friends. the inchie is for a challenge over at Something Completely Different. ok...i gotta say ~ i've only ever done one other small piece of work..and let me let ya...it's a challenge working on such a tiny space...a 1"x1" space......whoa! i was so inspired by the ladies work over at SCD and just had to give it a try. you rawk ladies! (oh, and excuse the inchie pic ~ i've gotta try takin that pic again it's not coming through very clear) anyhoo, for my inchie..i stamped the background with butterflies and a clock, added some rubons, hancut the flowers ~ bird, added some 'nesting' and added the lil bling. oh ya..and distressed the edges. nothing fancy pancy..but heh..it's really my 1st inchie and i'm just gettin the hang of it! well, that's it for my goodies today. hope you all have a rawkin scrappy happy day!

hello chickies! wow ~ i actually had to take a peek and see how long it's been since i had my scrappy goodies out ~ can you believe it ~ july 2! whoa! ok...it's been a while. well, i'm finally settled into the rv and was able to get a chance to pull out my goodies last night and do a lil scrappin. man, do i feel out of touch! ACK! me and my exacto knife definitely have to reconnect! (seriously) anyhoo, i did up that card for Tuesday Taggers this week. the challenge is to use the 'shades of autumn'. which is awesome ~ the fall colors outside here are absolutely gorgeous. also, as promised, i've posted my lo that was pubbed in the canadian scrapbooker mag. i finally came across a pic i had taken a while back ~ whohoo! anyhoo, that's it for today ~ i've got some catchin up to do ~ some blogs to visit and then i'm heading outside to start a campfire and enjoy some fresh air. have a rawkin scrappy happy day. love ya!

happy scrappy friday chickies! whoa...it's been like..foreva since i've been able to blog it. only two more weeks til dh and i are settled into our new rv. man, i so can't wait to get moved in and get my internet back up and running again. i've really missed peekin at all you work and leavin some lovin.

anyhoo ~ i so gotta share with ya ~ I'VE GOTTEN PUBLISHED..........WHOHOO! yepperz ~ in the canadian scrapbooker mag. volume 4. yep, if ya got the mag ~ check it out chickies ~ it's on page 74. at the bottom. i'm so stoked! this is my first time eva being published ~ so bare with me as i have some *braggin rights* for a few. i've been waiting for the mag to get out on the shelves and low and behold dh ran across it today ~ yep ~ bought myself 3 copies! i took that pic of dh at a bed and breakfast we stayed at, so i'm sending a copy of the mag to the lady who owns the property. dd's gettin the 2nd copy and the 3rd is gettin sent all the way to aussie land to my bestest scrappin aussie chickie ~ marina. ssshhh..she don't know yet! yep...gonna sign that one. i told her if i ever got published she get a signed copy. now i just gotta hunt her down and get her addy, since i've got it packed away. sorry i can't post a pic of the whole lo ~ i'm on dh's laptop and don't have a copy of it ~ so, i'll have to update this post at a later date.

wow ~ it's been like *foreva* since i blogged! dh and i have been SO busy this past month or so. definitely lots of life changes here. we put the house up for sale ~ so we've had lots of peeps coming by! between that, going to appointments, going camping, visiting the family and gks and just living life ....we haven't really had much time to really breathe! BUT...the house is sold, house is packed up, house is in storage and here we are back at our rv campsite ~ enjoying this beautiful sunshine and relaxin. let me tell ya ~ it is well deserved after this past month! my goodness ~ i never thought it would end! so with the house sold now...dh and i are gettin a new fifth wheel ~ a 38 footer ~ with 4 pop outs..and gonna be rv'in it full time. we found an absolutely beautiful spot to park it full time in a lil town up-island called coombs! we just love it here. there's a 2.5 man-made lake, a swimming pool, hottub, lots of walking paths, friendly peeps..and beautiful scenery...can't beat that! i've attached a couple pics so you can see what a lil bit of our rv looks like. (that's the living room, kitchen, and eatin area)....nice eh! man..i so can't wait to get moved in! with all that done, too, all my scrappin happy goodies are in storage ~ so no scrappin for me til sept. we're in the camptsite, but because the campsites are all booked up til sept ~ dh and i gotta move around sites, til we can get our permanat site sept 8th. yep............we're STOKED! in the meantime, i got the laptop here...got some time on my hands now..so i'll be back chattin it up and catchin up with all your creations and bloggin it! so looking forward to seeing what you've all created. love ya'all chickies and hope you're enjoying this beautiful summer.

happy scrappy thurs chickies! whoa..it's gettin warm outside today! i decided to stay inside and stay near the airconditioner. gotta keep cool ~ i had a lil too much sun yesterday. so, i've had lots of fun getting scrappy happy today and trying out a few blog challenges. the first one is for ~ tuesday taggers ~. they have an awesome tim holtz tutorial to follow for the background technique. also, ~ the craft barn ~ is the sponsor this week, so if ya play along, ya got a chance at winning some scrumptious goodies! can't beat that! the box and card set are for

heh chickies! hoping you all are havin a rawkin HAPPY CANADA DAY! it's been an absolutely gorgeous day here. dh and i spent the day up in parksville with the gks, dd and sil today. we spent most of the time at the beach ~ but, there were lots of events going on. they had bands playing, facepainting, booths all over the place, kiteflying competitions, skateboarding, rides, waterpark ~ oh the list is long. it was a fabulous day spent with family and a great celebration of CANADA'S 142 birthday! how kewl is that! hope you all had a fabulous day everyone ~ HAPPY CANADA DAY!

heh chickies! happy hump day! hope you're all havin a sunny scrappy happy day. it's raining buckets here..but, i still managed to get some scrappin in! WHOHOO! i missed last week's challenge over at ~ Tuesday Taggers ~ just cause my mojo decided to up and leave the building. i couldn't scrap for the life of me. anyhoo ~ my mojo got rawkin this morning and i got the challenge *stamp it* done. for this week's challenge it's to create a project using as many stamps as possible. i scrapped this lil handbag using 5 different stamps. the swirls are from layers of color ~ the flowers are from CTMH and the butterfly ~ well ~ i can't remember who makes it ~ but, it's my all time fave! dont'cha just love him! all stampin is handcut with some added stickles for the glittery shine. oh and that's a lo i did not long ago ~ it's of my dd ~ takin a big huge squeezy hug from *family* (on my oldest dd's side) ~ yep ~ gotta love those hugz! well, that's it for my scrappy goodies today. i've got company coming shortly ~ and whoa ~ i gotta do a quick tidy!

happy scrappy thurs chickies! hope you're all having a beautiful sunny scrappy happy day! it's absolutely gorgeous here again. well ~ i got do some blog hopping ~ and was over at katy's blog . love visiting her..she's just rawks those cards ~ and i noticed she's on the dt over at ~ Tuesday Taggers ~ so, i just had to check it out. yep i definitely had to give this week's challenge a go. it's to create a card with matching wrappin paper. there's an awesome tutorial there ~ so, if ya get a chance and wanna try a new challenge check it chickies..you'll love it! for my card and wrappin paper i spritzed olive vine and coffee shop glimmer mist on my background pp ~ blowed dryed it ~ crumbled the pp up ~ distressed it with green then stamped it with a letter stamp. the card was on on brown pp ~ then i switched to the matching green pp and did the same process for the wrapping paper. yep ~ it sure does have a rawkin shimmer to it. thankx to tuesday taggers for the awesome challenge. i'll be back there next week for the next one...can't wait! well ~ that's it for my scrappy goodies today ~ i'm off to clean the house ~ then i'm heading to town to visit with the kiddos today and soak in some rays!

heh chickies! hope ya'll been gettin scrappy happy and doing lots of scrappin for me ~ seems like i haven't touch my goodies in like...foreva! yep..i'm out campin it up again and enjoying this beautiful sunshine. think i'm the only one that brought my laptop here. in order to get internet access ya gotta sit in the middle of the park ~ at the picnic table ~ beside the pool ~ and each time i've come here ~ i'm it ~ alone ~ typing my lil heart out. too funny eh! and yep..sounds like it gonna be a rawkin day here. they've got a *bull-o-rama* going on next door here at the rodeo grounds and it just started up ~ they band is playing and rawkin away! gonna love those tunes. anyhoo ~ here's a few scrappy cards i did up before i left to go camping ~ ya can also check them out on ~ Layers of Color ~ . i used laura's scrumptious stamps on these. thankx laura for your beautiful talent! well..that's it for now ~ i'm off to soak in the rays and blog hop.

happy scrappy hump day chickies! well..we had an awesome time campin ~ i'm home again and gettin all unpacked..and whoa..have i got tons of laundry to do! i'm nice and relaxed though ~ and feelin so refreshed from gettin out in that fresh air. anyhoo ~ today is the reveal for my goodies over at lil scrappers. it's been a blast being guest dt for this month ~ and i had a fabulous scrappy card kit to work with. so..here's a few of the cards i made for the reveal today. also, that's the handbag i did during lil scrappers NSD crop ~ it's it just the kewlest. yep, i'll definitely be making one of those again. i filled it up with some goodies and gave it to our dd for mother's day!

well, i'm packin it up again! GOTTA LOVE IT! gettin ready for another campin trip. wuv that fresh air, sittin around the camp fire, meeting new rver's and just relaxin it! here's a couple more pics of our last trip to rondalynn rv site. i just can't get enough of that place. i tried booking for the may long weekend...they're booked solid (and that's been since feb)!. wowza..guess i'll remember that for next year! definitely got book in advance. hope ya enjoy my pics ~ sure wish ya were here ~ i'd take ya'all with me! wouldn't that be kewl ~ a scrappin happy campin week! OH OH OH ~ i gotta tell ya... i got asked to be GDT over at ls this month. how kewl is that! so, i recieved the card kit and have been working like crazy on it. the reveal is on the 20th, so i'll blog it here when the time comes..be one the lookout. anyhoo ~ here's a couple of other cards i've done up. the 1st card is done with my new *kraft kuts* (fancy pants) pp. isn't it yummy! the second one is from a sketch carla did over at LS. love how the card turned out! whohoo! nothing like the spring flowers starting to bloom ~ the sun shining and a whole lot of fresh air. yep ~ that's what i've been doing ~ gettin outside ~ breathin in some sunshine ~ planting flowers and doing lots of yard work. i just love gettin my hands in that dirt and playing. so with that said ~ i got in the scrappy spring mode and did up some spring cards. the stamps are from *layers of color. i love that lil snail..isn't he the cutest! the teenie tiny teaser cards measure 1.5 x 3.5 in. cute eh! the layout is of our new friends 'doug and darlene'. we were invited to have a weiner roast at their home a lil while ago. awesome peeps. we had a wonderful time ~ laughing and just enjoying spending time together. well ~ i'm off to load up the trailer today. dh and i are planning a lil mini trip on the island here to one of our local rv sites. yep, it'll be so nice to get out and sit around the campfire, roast some marshmellows, and just enjoy nature. hope all you chickies have a scrappy happy week.

happy easter everyone! hope everyone has a scrappy happy weekend and ya get to spend some extra time with your family ~ i certainly am.
well ~ i came across SBS (Sisterhood of Blogging Stampers) this morning ~ and decided to take the plunge and join. can't wait to meet my sisters and get chattin it up. whohoo! and see more inspirtation ~ can't beat that. so ~ i'm supposed to chat it up about myself a lil to give an introdution. ok..so..here it goes. i've been scrappin happy for a lil over 3 years now ~ yep..totally addicted. i'm married to my best friend monte ~ have 2 wonderful dds ~ 2 gks and one great sil! yep..and even have my lil puppy *mojo* and a cat named *mecco*. i live here on vancouver island ~ in beautiful bc canada. i love pullin out my goodies ~ and get playing and creating. i scrap anything from cards to los to acts...to altered art. i love steppin out of my box ~ just as long as i can keep that scrappy happy mojo flowing i'll try anything. i love snappin pics ~ and playing with photo editing. i'm so looking forward to seeing everyones creations and getting to know you all. so ~ with that said ~ here's a few scrappy happy goodies i've created. the first lo is of our youngest dd melody jr. yep, i got scrappin happy here with lots of handcutting, stampin ~ and just plain ol having some scrappy happy mojo fun. the stamps are from ~ Layers of Color ~ . gotta love those birdies and flowers. aren't they just scrumptious. the title reads: *each flower is a soul opening out 2 nature* and that's a lil easter basket and card i created. i'm planning on giving it to a friend tomorrow. she's a real sweetheart and has been a great help to our family this past two years. yep, gotta get out and get a nice bouquet of flowers to add. the last lo i created using LOC stamps, too. i took that pic while on a trip to the mainland. i wuv sensets and the serenity. can't help but enjoy the beauty.
i also want to say a SPECIAL thankx to all the ladies at TYI. i just found out today that the blog will be closing. the dt and everyone has been such a wonderful inspiration and i will totally miss the challenges each week. i wish everyone all the best in their endeavors. hugs to you all.

yep..who doesn't love hugz! well..over at TYI

this week the challenge is to create a tag with the theme *cute and cuddly*. i chose my dd as my theme ~ ok..maybe i'm biased. but, she loves her hugs ~ she's cute ~ and she's cuddly! check it out chickies..there's fabulous work done by all the ladies there. also, i'm attempting to use my watercolors a bit more ~ so there a card ~ and yep, i did that lil mouse, too. don't laugh ~ i'm not very good at coloring just yet! but, i'm happy with the results so far. oh ya, and dh and in went for a long drive yesterday searching out rv and camping parks here on the island. we found some real nice ones. i took that pic of the old truck over at *quesnell lake*..definitely kewl! and whoa...what a gorgeous place to pull up with your rv and camp for a few days. hope to book a site for the easter weekend. yep..a nice lil get a away. anyhoo, i'm off for the day ~ going up island for a bit and maybe stop and view a few more sites. have a scrappy happy day chickies!

morning chickies! got a few projects created ~ whohoo! my mojo is half fast working. still can't seem to create a lo for the life of me. don't know what's up with that. so, i'm keeping it simple and going small ....for now! here's my tag for this week's challenge over at ~ Tag You're It ~ there's a recipe this week ~ 1-2-3 check it out chickies ~ lots of fun and sure does get ya thinking outside the box. the ribbon on my tag unties to open a window that reveals a stamped sentiment.
